You are on scene for a 10 y/o girl who fell out of a tree. She is sitting on the ground holding her right side and crying. Witnesses state she fell feet first approximately six feet in distance and that she hugged the tree as she fell. The patient appears pale and diaphoretic and is breathing at 40 times per minute with symmetrical breath sounds. Upon inspection, you notice a 2.5 cm puncture wound to the left lower axillary region of her chest. VS: GCS 15 P: 115, BP: 104/67, RR: 32, O2Sat: 96%.
