Pediatric Trauma - Management of the Pediatric Trauma Patient
- The child may be assessed and immobilized in the car seat
- Remove the child from the car seat under any of the following circumstances:
- Scene or vehicle hazards
- Car seat cannot be removed from the vehicle
- Car seat is damaged
- Compromise to the child’s airway, breathing or circulation
- Altered mental status
