Case 2

You respond to a 13-year-old male victim of an assault by three adolescent males. Witnesses state that he was punched several times in the head and face and kicked in the head while he was on the ground. You find the patient unconscious and unresponsive, with minor bleeding from his nose and both ears. He has snoring respirations at 8 times per minute and radial pulse is 86 times per minute.
