Program Progress:
Echocardiography in this infant with heart failure established the presence of left ventricular dilation with poor function, no mitral or aortic stenosis, atrial left-to-right shunt through a patent foramen ovale and a severe obstruction of the aorta just beyond the left subclavian artery. No flow through the ductus arteriosus was seen.
