Severe Aortic Stenosis

Our patient’s diagnosis is severe aortic stenosis due to a congenital bicuspid aortic valve. When he was initially seen, he was strongly advised to live a sedentary lifestyle until his evaluation was completed. He was specifically urged to stop exercising, because of the risk of precipitating symptoms. This resulted in no symptoms occurring during the time it took to complete his evaluation.
