You are incorrect - our patient's jugular venous pulse wave form shows a dominant "a" wave and a smaller "v" wave.
By observing a graphic image and simultaneously viewing the video, we can further appreciate the giant "a" wave. The giant "a" wave occurs just before the carotid impulse and the smaller "v" wave occurs just after the carotid impulse.
