We have learned to evaluate the history, standardization, heart rate, rhythm, intervals, QRS axis, and morphology of the complexes. The final step in the orderly approach is the interpretation of the 12-lead ECG. You should indicate if the rhythm is normal or abnormal, and whether the overall ECG is normal or abnormal. If abnormal, indicate the diagnosis, such as left ventricular hypertrophy or right bundle branch block.
