Program Progress:

Go to Harvey's bedside, select condition 4, and evaluate our patient's: Jugular Venous Pulse

This patient’s venous pulse is readily observed in the neck. The central venous pressure is clearly elevated, and the wave form is clearly seen. It’s helpful to have a timing device to analyze it even better, and we use the carotid vessel with the swab and watch its movement and compare it to that venous movement in the neck. [Cut-away]
