The individual who assumes or is assigned control of triage
roles and responsibilities:

• Ensure safety and accountability of personnel
• Determine location and number of casualties
• Determine resources needed
• Assign and supervise triage teams
• Ensure that all casualties are triaged and accounted for
• Provide progress reports to Command
• Coordinate with other sections (treatment, transport, etc)
• Provide Command a triage report upon completion of triage
• Terminate and document all triage activities
