An outline of the approach to ECG analysis along with an interpretation of our patient's ECG follows.

The orderly approach to evaluating an electrocardiogram includes analysis of rate, rhythm, QRS frontal plane axis, P wave, QRS complex, ST segment and, finally, the T wave.
