Case Background

A fifteen year old male is referred to your office for the evaluation of a murmur. It was heard by a nurse at his high school when examining him for symptoms of an upper respiratory infection. He has no cardiac symptoms. His heart rate is 60 bpm and his blood pressure is 140/50 mmHg. You listen at the upper left sternal edge with the diaphragm.
